Human Parainfluenza Virus 3 Phosphoprotein Is a Tetramer and Shares Structural and Interaction Features with Ebola Phosphoprotein VP35

"In this study, we biochemically characterized the human parainfluenza virus 3 (HPIV3) phosphoprotein, showing that it is a stable, tetrameric coiled-coil, similar to the Ebola virus phosphoprotein. We show that both phosphoproteins interact with human LC8 with different affinities and indicate a potential role for HPIV3 phosphoprotein in regulating aggregation in the presence of RNA."
