Ph.D. 1966, University of Washington
Our laboratory used any appropriate physical or chemical technique, but principally circular dichroism (CD) and linear dichroism (LD) spectroscopy, to solve structural problems of current biological interest. Our experimental research involved both proteins and nucleic acids and focussed on improving the application of CD and LD to structural problems and improving the theory that relates CD to the conformation of a molecule.
