Multivalency, autoinhibition, and protein disorder in the regulation of interactions of dynein intermediate chain with dynactin and the nuclear distribution protein
This study advances our understanding of dynein regulation and highlights the importance of studying protein interactions using fully assembled multivalent complexes. These findings are of interest to the dynein community, as well as to the intrinsically disordered proteins (IDP) community interested in multivalent, dynamic complexes. This work is also of particular relevance to the NMR community as it underscores multiple biophysical techniques as essential for understanding similar complex systems.
